Describe what you do for Borror Properties.
I am a troubleshooter. I handle anything from the printer not working to forgotten passwords, unable to find information, send documents for electronic signature, or find a solution to a business problem. There is no end to the exciting obstacles to be overcome.
What do you love most about working for Borror Properties?
The people. Nothing else is even close. The environment is great and people work both hard and smart. Everyone is friendly and fun.
What led you to the real estate industry?
I fell into it in 1993 when I joined a growing homebuilder. I was able to work in almost every facet of the industry. I worked in title, closings, contract processing, and part of the design of a sales system and then managed and programmed the sales system, among other things. I have enjoyed working with construction and sales over the years.
What are you most excited about for Borror Properties in 2016?
2016 is a very exciting year. As soon as I joined the Borror team over 10 months ago, I began working to replace the property management software. That hard work has led us to the first communities going on line with Yardi this month. We will be gradually implementing the Yardi software over the following months and improving our efficiencies. Both residents and staff will benefit with these changes in services soon.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
The standard response would be my kids, but earning the award of Eagle Scout was quite an accomplishment.
When you are not working, where will most people find you?
Either watching a Columbus Crew game or going for runs that range all the way to 13.1 or 26.2 miles.
