Overview
265 East State Street is BORROR’s first development in the rapidly evolving Discovery District. The building was just approved by the Downtown Development Commission: a six-story mixed-use development boasting 221 boutique apartments and 15,000 square feet of commercial space. This sizable residential and retail hub is larger in scale than any along Downtown Columbus’s eastern edge.
On the ground floor, the office and restaurant spaces are designed to engage pedestrian traffic along State Street. Above, 221 boutique apartments will feature state-of-the-art technology, outdoor living areas, high-end finishes and many boast unparalleled views of the downtown skyline.
The resident amenity spaces are planned to include a resort-style pool with a large deck, cabanas, fire pit, cornhole, and outdoor bar, a state-of-the-art fitness facility, and an elegant and relaxing resident gathering area with a fireplace, bar, pool table, and other indoor activities.
Two blocks east of Capitol Square, the State Street development is within easy walking distance of the Columbus Metropolitan Library main branch, the Columbus Topiary Park and other attractions on Downtown Columbus’ east side. The State Street project is part of the Discovery Special Improvement District, a coordinated effort to help property owners create and maintain a safe, vibrant, diverse, distinctive and walkable mixed-use neighborhood.
