Borror And White Castle Partner For Short North Development
Borror and White Castle broke ground in October 2016 on what is sure to be an iconic mixed-use building in the Short North.
Known as The Castle, the building at W. 2nd Avenue and High Street, features 11,000 square feet of retail space, 12,000 square feet of Class A office space, a 210-space parking garage, and 105 high-end luxury apartments. The apartment community, 985 High at The Castle, is comprised of 105 apartments with beautiful, top-of-the-line finishes.
The joint venture between Borror, White Castle, and the City of Columbus also brings a much-needed public parking garage to The Short North neighborhood. And yes, White Castle occupies space on the ground floor of the new development.

The Short North, stretching from just north of downtown Columbus, Ohio to just south of The Ohio State University campus, is one of the city’s most eccentric and trendy neighborhoods.
The Short North Arts District and its collections of artists revitalized this section of High Street in the 1980s and started the monthly Gallery Hop back in 1985. Now, thousands of people have been known to descend on the neighborhood on the first Saturday of each month. Iconic Short North White Castle Reopens In The Castle
The iconic Short North White Castle reopened in July 2018 on the ground floor of The Castle building. Though closed for nearly two years during construction, the restaurant has served its signature sliders at the location since 1968.
The new White Castle in the Short North is open 24 hours a day and encompasses a 3,800-square-foot space. The restaurant features a unique drive thru lane that winds through the building’s parking garage and its menu now includes both beer and wine.
The Castle development and the White Castle Short North are located less than two miles from White Castle’s corporate headquarters on West Goodale Street.
985 High At The Castle Will Feature Studio, 1, & 2 Bedroom Luxury Apartments
