Doug Borror, CEO of Borror

At Borror, we believe excellence comes with experience, and that’s something our CEO, Doug Borror, has plenty of.

Doug got his start in real estate more than 40 years ago, but he’s been involved in development practically his entire life, attending zoning meetings with his father (also a real estate professional) when he was a young man. Though he’s been a licensed real estate broker since 1982, he’s also worked in homebuilding and property management.

The latter is a more recent endeavor, one he embarked on with Lori Steiner, Borror’s president and COO— and it’s a segment of the business that’s grown considerably. In fact, Borror was recently named the second largest residential property management company in Central Ohio by Columbus Business First.

While Doug is no stranger to success, it’s not his primary concern. The Columbus native is also committed to improving our communities and helping neighbors in need.

Doug has served on several local boards, including the Capital South Redevelopment Corporation, Ohio State University, Columbia Gas, and he and his family have supported many nonprofit organizations for years: Ohio Health, Short North Alliance, Recreation Unlimited, and the Wellington School, just to name a few. In 2004, they established The Borror Family Foundation to increase the time and financial resources they can provide.

Ultimately Doug’s work on boards, with nonprofits, and at Borror all aim to make Columbus the most desirable place to live.
