54 volunteers joined shovel-to-shovel with one goal: help to restore the community that has given so much to us. We had a blast volunteering for Healthy Homes, a collaboration between Community Development for All People and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Since 2008, Healthy Homes has worked diligently to revitalize and beautify a 31-square-block of neighborhood in southern Columbus. Funded by Nationwide Children’s Hospital, the United Way of Central Ohio and the City of Columbus, Healthy Homes is making a big impact on the city we are proud to call home.
The rain and mud couldn’t put a damper on our day as we prepared walls for painting, laid sod, planted flowers and bushes, and walked through 44 blocks to clean up the streets and alleys of Columbus. It is truly powerful to team up and serve others to create a lasting impact that no single person could accomplish alone.
Borror Properties and Truberry Custom Homes recognize how imperative it is for everyone to give their time and talent to the city we’ve made our home. To find out how you can help or volunteer time for Healthy Homes, click here.
