Tournament play kicks off today at The Memorial Tournament.
Members of the Borror Properties team can be found throughout the week taking in all that the tournament has to offer. According to President Lori Steiner, “With Dublin as our home, the Memorial Tournament is one of our favorite traditions. Dublin and Central Ohio are highlighted on the international stage for a week each year, adding value to real estate in our town”.
Jack Nicklaus designed Muirfield Village Golf Course, which opened in 1974. With a Par 72, the course spans over 7265 yards and includes 73 sand bunkers and 13 water hazards. Last year it ranked as the 19th most difficult course out of 51 courses played on the tour. The Memorial Tournament was established in 1976 and has seen many great winners over those years.
While we are anxious to see all the players and witness some of the best golf in the world, we are also looking forward to seeing the new clubhouse! The 38-year-old clubhouse underwent a major transformation including significant architectural changes, an addition of a clock tower and a new three-level building that connects the clubhouse to the Pavilion, located off the 18th green.
We know we are in for a great week out at Muirfield. Will we see you there?
