2014, A Look Back At Our Progress in the Short North

Borror Properties has had an incredibly exciting 2014, breaking ground for three new projects in the Short North in the past year.

The Prescott, located at 22 Prescott Street, is a 3.5 story 24-unit building that will be ready for residents in May 2015. 40 West Third includes a 16 unit building and a 3,500 SF renovated Victorian House that has been repurposed as commercial office space. Both projects are on schedule to be leased by May 2015. Finally, Truberry on Summit, at Summit and 1st Avenue, will welcome residents to its six high-end condominiums in June.

If you’re looking for a home in the Short North, you can look forward to seeing even more Borror signs in the Short North in 2015!   The Jerome, a 54-unit building located at the corner of Starr and Dennison Avenues in Victorian Village, will break ground in the early spring 2015. Truberry on Second will offer home buyers a community of 16 luxury condominiums featuring 2 car attached garages and roof top living space. Both The Jerome and Truberry on Second will be ready for residents in the fall of 2015.

Borror has great respect for the character and architecture in the Short North, and works closely with both the Italian Village and Victorian Village Commissions to ensure that our properties retain the spirit of each neighborhood. We are currently in this collaboration process as part of the development of our property at 60 E. Hubbard. Located directly across the street from the beautiful Italian Village Park, this new development will create 4 new homes, including a 3 unit carriage house and a beautifully renovated 1,900 SF Victorian House. Our new two-car garage homes at 60 E. Hubbard will be available for buyers in the Fall 2015.

Truberry on Pearl at 848 North Pearl will bring a variety of beautiful options to Short North home buyers. This showcase property will feature 13 condominiums with size options ranging from 1,100 SF up to the Penthouse level of 2,900 SF. Our goal is to break ground on this exciting project in 2015, with the homes ready for move-in spring 2016.

Borror has also been working hard to maintain and modernize a historic icon with the development of 965 N. High Street, The White Castle site. Our plans for this exciting new project include a walkable, mixed use development with retail, office, and residential spaces, as well convenient structured parking. The centerpiece of the retail space will be a state-of-the-art White Castle restaurant, as well as other exciting retailers. The White Castle development will forever change the landscape of High Street. We hope to break ground in 2015 and deliver the building in 2016, the 95th anniversary of White Castle’s introduction of the famous Slider.

We are so very grateful for our partners, tenants, and homeowners, and wish all of you the very happiest of holidays.
