Holidays Around Columbus

 

Wildlights at the Zoo
November 18th – January 1st from 5:00pm to 10:00pm

One of Central Ohio’s favorite family traditions, the Wildlights at the Zoo, will kick-off on November 18th. This year, the lights will be efficiently powered by AEP Ohio and will include millions of LED lights, three animated musical light shows and more holiday festivities to be announced.

Enjoy a special morning meal with jolly old Saint Nick, then stick around for a Holiday Gift Making session in which children can create and make their own gifts, live music performances, and festive botanical displays.

Relive the holiday nostalgia with your own family by getting dressed up and heading downtown to the opulent Ohio Theatre to catch BalletMet’s rendition of the classic holiday ballet.

Kids of all ages—and kids at heart—will adore CATCO’s Dr. Seuss-themed reinvention of Charles Dickens’ classic tale. The play, a regional premiere, is filled with colorful characters and wacky rhymed couplets.

Olde Towne East Holiday Hooplah
December 14 at First Congregational Church

Meet the neighbors at the Olde Towne East Neighborhood Association’s annual potluck gathering on Wednesday, Dec. 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. Come for dinner and wine and bring appetizers, salads or desserts to share, plus enjoy an evening of live music from Gayla Smith.

December 17 in the Short North
