303 residential building boasts fully smart apartments named after city’s heroes
Columbus, OH (Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018)—Located in Downtown Columbus’ vibrant RiverSouth district, 303 is now leasing units for immediate occupancy. Borror’s residential building is a masterful mix of old and new, equipped with the newest in smart technology to appeal to the city’s influx of new residents while paying homage to the area’s rich history.
Each of the building’s 89 units will have the capability of being a fully integrated smart apartment—a first for a Columbus apartment building. Each apartment comes standard with smart locks and wifi-enabled smart, programmable Ecobee thermostats. Additional upgrades include smart plugs, lights, window sensors, and a smart hub, all with the ability to be voice-controlled through an Amazon Echo and streamlined through Borror’s smart home app, available in the app store.
The studio, 1- and 2-bedroom units are each named after various historic and famous figures from Central Ohio. Residents can choose to live in:
- The Glenn, named after renowned astronaut John Glenn
- The Stine, inspired by children’s book author R.L. Stine
- The Campbell, honoring the first and only two-time Miss America pageant winner Mary Katherine Campbell
- The Allen, named for Florence Ellinwood Allen, the first female State Supreme Court justice and first female Federal Court judge
- The Nicklaus, named for golf legend Jack Nicklaus
- or The Oakley, bearing the name of famed shooter Annie Oakley
Borror commissioned original art pieces from the Ohio Historical Society depicting various scenes and stories from the city’s past. These black-and-white pieces, including streetscapes, news stories and more, are featured throughout the building to celebrate the accomplishments and growth Columbus has seen in the past 200 years, says Borror CEO Doug Borror. A full city map will be displayed on a lobby wall with an arrow pointing to 303’s location in the heart of downtown Columbus.
“We wanted to recognize and celebrate the history of Columbus with a nod to those who have come before us, while at the same time continuing to advance the city’s future growth and potential,” adds Lori Steiner, President and COO of Borror.
The studio, one- and two-bedroom residences have a sleek and modern feel, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning city views from every unit. Located at the corner of Front and Main in Downtown Columbus, 303 is just blocks from entertainment, shopping, and the revitalized Scioto Mile, Bicentennial Park and Columbus Commons.
303 is located at 303 S. Front St., Columbus, OH 43215. For leasing information, call 614-389-5929.
