Residential units at 985 High are available for prelease via mobile leasing unit
Columbus, OH (Tuesday, March 6, 2018)— Borror is now preleasing luxury apartment units at 985 High, located in The Castle building, on track to open in June 2018.
Located at 985 N. High Street in the Short North, 985 High is still an active construction site as Borror prepares for move-ins. The chaos of construction makes it impossible to set up a leasing office—but that didn’t stop Borror. The Borror team found a creative solution, retrofitting a Mercedes camper van to serve as a mobile leasing office. It’s another innovative idea from a company known for cutting-edge developments outfitted with the latest technology.
“The Castle building is a very tight site, with every inch of the site being devoted to construction activities,” explains Dani Sugarman, VP of Apartment Operations. “The mobile leasing unit gives us a comfortable place to meet with prospective residents, and allows us to move as needed. It gives us flexibility when the site doesn’t afford it and we can still tour people through 985 High and do our usual pre-leasing activities.”
985 High offers high-end luxury studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments with plenty of outdoor living options. Units looking out onto High Street provide a bird’s-eye view of the vibrant Short North arts district. A rooftop sundeck, with entertaining space including outdoor televisions, gas grills, and views overlooking High Street and downtown, will be available for all residents to entertain and utilize, along with an indoor kitchenette and lounge.
“The southern facing units provide amazing downtown skyline views, and from the apartments facing to the north toward the Ohio State University campus you can see the Horseshoe,” Sugarman says.
On the seventh and eighth stories, spacious penthouse apartments will be some of the grandest, most luxurious in the city. Penthouse spaces with up to 1,800 square feet of living space are designed with entertaining in mind, featuring large kitchen islands, professional-style kitchen ranges with vent hoods, and expansive entertaining spaces, with views of downtown to wow guests. Additionally, penthouse residents will have access to an exclusive penthouse-only lounge.
985 High will provide an on-site fitness center and yoga room with an interactive fitness-on-demand program. Residents can take more than 150 fitness classes virtually, from small group classes to spin bikes to TRX suspension to free weights.
Units are equipped with a “virtual concierge” system that allows residents to see, virtually, visitors at the building’s outdoor entrance, schedule guests, and more. 985 boasts high-performing Wi-Fi services designed to accommodate multiple devices and other smart apartment features, including keyless locks and wifi-enabled smart-thermostats, lights and electrical outlets that can be programmed remotely using a branded Borror app.
985 High at The Castle is located at 985 N. High St., Columbus, OH 43201. 985 High is now accepting applications. The Borror Mobile Leasing Unit is open 4-6 p.m. Thursday evenings and 1-4 p.m. Saturday afternoons, with appointments and walk-ins accepted.
