Going Green Around Columbus

Many cities host celebrations around St. Patrick’s Day. In Chicago, they color the river green, in New York, the Empire State building shines bright green over the city and in Washington D.C., the White House fountain circulates green water for the day.

Right here in Central Ohio, Dublin will host the Blarney Bash after the downtown Dublin Greenest, Grandest St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 14th. On St. Patrick’s Day, The Shamrock Club of Columbus sponsors and funds the Columbus St. Patrick’s Day parade at 11:30 a.m. after their annual St. Patrick’s Day Mass at St. Patrick Church.

The Bexley area Franklin Park Conservatory is celebrating with a Family Fun: Luck of the Irish event on Saturday, March 14th complete with “a skittles rainbow and marshmallow clouds”. Their event will also feature the Millennium Irish Dance Company.

And, remember…

“If you’re Irish, it doesn’t matter where you’ll go. You’ll find family.”
– Irish Actor Victoria Smurfit
